Brownie Mania

I’m a horrible neighbor. Well, I do wave when I pass someone out in their yard but gone are the days when parents sat outside as their children played, visited and even shared a glass of lemonade or iced tea. I can’t blame the culture but think about it, you must hurry home to fix supper or you have a project to work on. I know that’s been my excuse for years. There were times the power went out or a storm blew down some trees, then we saw the neighbors, but I’m extremely guilty of running into the house and doing my thing.

As I have confessed of my laser focus on all things Patti, I was compelled to do something about it. Recently, I heard of several of my neighbors that were going through hard times physically and through the illness of a spouse. I was determined to do something…what could I do? I’m a reasonably good cook, not chefie but I can feed a crowd. But I began to think, what if they don’t want or need a casserole? So, I decided to bake them all brownies. Now, I have this foolproof brownie recipe. It’s a box mix made by the instructions (pictured) and a Pampered Chef™ pan.

I hope you don’t think I’m boasting, and I started not to post this, however, this site is about inspiration and today I want to inspire you to do something to help your neighbor. The only problem I had, if it was a problem, is that my family loves brownies, so for every pan I made for the neighbors, I had to make a pan for them. They love it when I help the neighbors!

So, whether you are good at baking or not, you are good at something, so ask God how you can help your neighbor today and let me know how that works out for you!

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Romans 13:9 NKJV

May God bless you on your journey…
